Job Title: Bookkeeper Industry: Finance / Financial Services Location: Caribbean Region (Fully Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting the financial team with month-end and year-end processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles, familiarity with financial industry practices, and proficiency in bookkeeping software.
Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and assist in financial reporting
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Assist with payroll preparation and related tax filings
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Liaise with external auditors or accountants as required
- Generate reports on financial status, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA Level II-III or related field preferred Proven 2-3 years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Familiarity with the financial services sector or experience working in finance-related environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Preferred Skills: Experience with regulatory filings and compliance in the finance industry
