Job Title: Research Assistant Professor Department: Pharmacy | Practice and Science The Research Assistant professor will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and analyzing translational research data for the Duarte Laboratory within the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science. The Duarte Lab focuses on genomics and pharmacogenomics, particularly the discovery of potential novel therapeutics and implementation of genomic testing into clinical practice.
This selected individual will also be responsible for assisting in teaching and mentoring trainees, and disseminating the lab’s research findings. Performance Objectives Develop and complete research projects leveraging data from the Ohio Genomic Health Program and the Helix Research Network. Assist with ongoing Duarte Lab research projects and the publication of their results.
Assist with teaching and training of pharmacy and research trainees at all levels. Education and Experience
Requirements
Required : PhD in genetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or other biomedical science or related field; Experience analyzing large genomic datasets, including publicly available resources (UK Biobank, All of Us, etc. Desired : Experience with grant writing and manuscript writing in the field of biomedical and/or pharmaceutical sciences; Experience in the area of precision medicine clinical implementation.
